Composite veneers are often the best aesthetic solution to achieve the perfect smile. If you also need to reshape and repair your teeth, veneers are a much better choice than mere teeth whitening.

Veneers are used to change the color, as well as the position and shape of the teeth. When dealing with small or undersized teeth, veneers come in handy. They are also effective for chipped teeth, teeth that have been damaged, or if you have large gaps between your teeth. Unlike ceramic veneers, which are somewhat more expensive and modeled outside the mouth, composite veneers are crafted in a single visit. The procedure involves applying composite material directly onto the tooth. They are done without grinding down the tooth, utilizing the knowledge and experience of the dentist and their sense of aesthetics.

Composite veneers are just one step toward the perfect Hollywood smile. Composite veneers are often seen as a step towards achieving the perfect Hollywood smile that many aspire to. There’s something truly impressive about having a beautiful smile. Aside from boosting confidence and making it easier to initiate non-verbal and verbal communication, attractive teeth also reflect self-care. Many people respect this aspect, making such communication an advantage in job hunting, finding partners, and socializing.

Materials used for composite veneers

When it comes to composite veneers, the question often arises naturally: what is the fundamental difference between ceramic and composite veneers? Dental veneers can be made from a variety of materials, as we’ve mentioned, ceramic materials are diverse adaptations of ceramics.

Composite veneers are made from composite materials, which are the same materials used when installing fillings. Firmly bonded molecules of various materials ensure that the composite material adheres well to the tooth while achieving high strength and resistance.

There’s no need to worry because composite materials can also be color-matched, so the dentist will strive to achieve the exact shade you desire. Knowing that patients are often selective, we must note that ceramic veneers are better modeled, but composite veneers can still do a good job.

Maintenance of composite veneers

Composite veneers need to be maintained regularly and consistently, just like any other dental work. This, of course, is nothing new or significantly different from how natural teeth should be maintained.

Teeth should be diligently and persistently maintained without breaks, significantly reducing the risk of cavities, tartar, or periodontitis. Composite veneers also require specific care recommendations. Toothbrushes with smaller heads are always a good solution to reach those harder-to-access areas. Brushing with mouthwash and cleaning between teeth with dental floss also makes a significant difference.

Facets have a certain durability, so it’s not recommended to apply significant pressure on them. In other words, if you exert strong pressure on facets, they may detach from the tooth base and fall off.

Dentists in our clinic will always provide specific recommendations on how to care for facets, which should be followed as a behavioral guideline. First and foremost, you should avoid biting hard objects, chewing ice, opening bottles with your teeth. However, it’s also not advisable to bite hard vegetables, fruits, or meat. Composite facets are more prone to damage compared to ceramic ones, so extra care should be taken.

One symptomatic aspect of composite facets is their tendency to stain more easily. Discoloration of facets is possible, and it cannot be guaranteed that they will always remain white. This largely depends on your own habits. It’s up to you how the facet will behave and whether it will yellow quickly. You should pay attention to what you eat and your habits. Consuming a lot of coffee, cigarettes, and alcohol can accelerate the deterioration process of the facet itself and surrounding teeth.

Tooth staining is a significant issue for those seeking a Hollywood smile. That’s why dental clinics, including ours, offer teeth whitening services.

Teeth whitening is performed in various ways, and some methods can whiten composite facets as well.

Prices of composite facets

Composite facets unfortunately have a shorter lifespan, typically lasting up to about 10 years, after which they are recommended to be replaced. Because of this, composite facets have a lower cost compared to ceramic ones, so for the price of one ceramic facet, you can install around three composite facets.

In our dental clinic, Dental Implant, you can see the prices of composite facets as well as ceramic facets (veneers) in our price list.

Other prosthetic aesthetic and functional solutions

In addition to composite facets, teeth can also be enhanced and changed using ceramic facets.

Some methods include teeth whitening, which must be preceded by specific processes such as repairing, tartar removal, etc.

Sometimes, if you’re unsure what to do, it’s best to consult with a dentist. Perhaps all that’s needed is tartar removal to achieve beautiful teeth. If corrections are needed or if you’re missing several teeth, implants and bridges can come to the rescue.

Metal-ceramic and metal-free crowns are also a good option for tooth replacement. They can be placed on an existing tooth or a dental implant. If larger corrections are needed compared to those done with facets, dentists may recommend this option.

Before taking any action, we advise you to have an examination at our dental office and consult with our dentists about the best solutions for your problems.

Sometimes, there’s a possibility that you’ve overestimated or underestimated the issues. That’s why regular check-ups can prevent potential changes in your mouth. As a solution to problems, dentists often recommend something you least expected.

We also emphasize the following:

With more regular visits to the dentist, you’ll be able to better predict any costs that may occur. This way, you can anticipate everything that awaits you in the process of installing facets or any other intervention.

Considering that dental services in our Balkan region are sometimes not the most affordable (despite being quite inexpensive compared to foreign standards), it’s necessary to plan each step. Dental offices will always keep this in mind and strive to accommodate you.
